Oh yes, it is that time once again-time for Random Tuesday Thoughts courtesy of our new Queen of Randomness,
Stacy! So after you read this post, head over to
Stacy's blog, grab the badge, and get your random on!! Go ahead, I dare ya!
*My mind is a gaping, vacuous pit of nothingness today, so if my randomness is kinda lame, I apologize in advance.
*There's a winter storm warning in effect for tonight and tomorrow morning. What the hell happened to Spring?
*The Magnolia and Cherry Blossoms Air Wick oil warmer is scentfully delicious!
*My cat, Meadow, decided that 3:00 a.m. was play time and batted me in the head repeatedly until I woke up. She wasn't real happy when I pushed her off the bed and went back to sleep. In fact, I think she was rather offended as when I did finally crawl out of bed and stumble towards the coffee maker, she ran right into my feet and tripped me.
*I've been trying to finish the last book of
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series,
Mostly Harmless, but every time I sit down to read I fall asleep within 3 paragraphs.
*I also have three other books by Douglas Adams I want to read.
The Long, Dark, Tea-time of the Soul,
The Salmon of Doubt, and one more I can't recall.
*I am so very excited to have a fridge full of groceries. Yay for food!
*
Beltane is coming up. I want to do something for it, though I'm not sure what yet. Sometimes I wish I belonged to a Coven, as opposed to being a Solitary Witch, cuz it would be so fun to get together with my fellow Witches for a big bonfire with drumming, chanting and feasting.
*If I were ever to move again, I think I'd move to Wisconsin to be with all the other Pagans. There's a huge community of us out there.
*Last night I had me some Lloyd's BBQ. That was nummyliciousness on a bun!
*Today I need to clean. My house is getting a bit messy and I want to stay on top of it so it doesn't get destroyed again.
Well, that's all I got for today.
Lameness, I know. I'm just feeling off lately.
Laters!
I have never read Hitchhiker's for the exact same reason. I'll probably never make it through.
ReplyDeleteMy cat trips me too on the way to the coffee maker...evil bitch. LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!!!
I could never get into the Hitchhiker's Guide books. I like some of the short stories I've read from Dave Barry, but not those.
ReplyDeleteMy house is sprinting ahead of me right now, I'm really going to have to race to catch up on the cleaning--colds suck!
Yes my cats have knock me on my ass a time or two
ReplyDeleteThen scurried away like it was what they meant to do
The hitchhiker movie really really sucks
So I'll never read the books and would rather go stare at ducks
Winter storm you can keep
I hope you don't get snow by the heap
But hopefully it will wear out before it gets up here
As I don't want snow anywhere around here I fear
ha on the cat...better watch out...i think pat is cheering....anyway, Adams is way cool, been a while since i read it...
ReplyDeleteyou're funny! Moving to Wisconsin for the community of pagans! I hear though that the winter is like 11 months of the year, so you might want to reconsider that...just sayin'...
ReplyDeleteSo what's so special about Wisconsin?
ReplyDeleteI started reading the Hitchhiker's Guide books but didn't make it all the way through. I liked the first couple but then started to find them hard to follow.
ReplyDeleteMMMmmmm! BBQ!
ReplyDeleteFeel free to come over and clean my house after you do yours :)
Huge group of pagans in Wisconsin eh? Seems... like I wouldn't expect that...
ReplyDeleteMy house is always messy...
Also, you're tagged!
Winter storm warnings? Sheesh, Mother Nature has it out for you even more than me, doesn't she? ;) We're getting up to 81 with thunderstorms tomorrow - but then it's supposed to drop back into the 40's at night and hang out in the 40's again by Friday. Mother Nature really is a psycho. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I had to laugh about your cat batting at your head at 3am - my cat does that to me sometimes, too. She seems miffed when I kick her out of the bedroom so I can go back to sleep. ;)
Lloyd's BBQ really is good stuff, isn't it? :)
Thanks so much for playing along and being a rebel with me - you ROCK! :)
RTT Rebel Week 4
I picked up some Lloyd's today, too. That's good stuff!
ReplyDeleteJust one MORE reason I have dogs instead of cats. Dogs NEVER want to play at 3am. They LOVE to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to go to England for Beltane (loads of events there), but Han Solo doesn't have a passport. Sadness. There's a big Celtic settlement site near where we live and there's usually have something going on there, so maybe I'll just go there. Or maybe I'll just stay home and sleep. Sleep is really high on my list of priorities right now.
I don't eat meat (beef or pork anyway), so I'll have to take your word on Lloyd's. James Bond and Indy would probably love it though. James Bond would eat an entire animal if I let him. Sigh.
Happy RTT!!!
allstarme~ I know, it's slow going for me. But, I do like them.
ReplyDeleteKristine~ LOL I know, right?
Happy Tuesday to you too!
VandyJ~ I like the Hitchhiker books, but I think I'm just sick of them right now, I've been reading them for a couple months now. Which is odd for me, usually I go through book in a few days.
Yes, colds do suck. It makes getting stuff down around the house so much harder.
Pat Hatt~ It's snowing here right now
I think I'm going to have a cow
We're going to get two inches at least
that weatherman is just a beast.
I'm ready for spring to come
this winter shit is making me numb.
The hitchhiker movie I actually liked
and my interest in the books was spiked
by that flick so I bought them all
but now I think that I'll fall
before I can get my way through
and at this point I'd rather do
my chores before I sit down to read
which is really no small deed.
Brian Miller~ Yeah, I do think Adams is way cool, but I think I've just had too much of him, or that genre, right now. I'm almost done with Mostly Harmless though, so I think I'll just finish it, if I can stay awake long enough. Though, I think my falling asleep has more to do with my fibromyalgia and fatigue that his writing. :)
Sandra~ LOL, well, I already live in Minnesota, so I'm used to 11 months of winter. ;)
Captain Dumbass~ I really don't know, but for some reason there's a whole lotta Pagans out there.
Anne~ They do get a little hard to follow. I find them to be entertaining though and they get me out of my head and my problems for a while.
Big Mama Cass~ BBQ is awesome!
Unfortunately I haven't finished my house yet, so it might be a while. ;)
Miss Angie~ I didn't expect it either and thought it was kinda weird when I heard that.
I know, it's so hard to keep up with the cleaning.
Oooh, I love being tagged, I'll be checking that out this morning some time. :D
She really is a psycho. It's snowing hard here and I'm a little disgruntled with the weatherman who 'took back' the winter storm warning last night and said we wouldn't be getting any snow after all. *grumbles*
LOL what is it with cats thinking the middle of the night is playtime? If they want to prowl around the house all night, fine, but leave me out of it!!
Oh, it's so good!
You're welcome! And thanks for keeping the random going while Keely is on hiatus! You so rock too. :D
Mama Zen~ That was the first time I'd tried it, cuz it's so expensive, but it was on sale so I decided to get some. Mmmmm BBQy goodness!
Mom in Heels~ My cats love to sleep too, unfortunately, it's during the day. lol Both England and the Celtic settlement sound like a blast. But then so does sleeping. I've been extra fatigued lately and I can't figure out why. lol I tried giving up meat when I became a Witch but just couldn't do it. I love my steak and BBQ too much.
Have a great Hump Day everyone!!
I don't think it's lame. i always try to stay on top of cleaning but with a toddler - easier said than done.
ReplyDeleteYou know, you really will kick yourself in the butt if your place gets messy again after all that work you did!
ReplyDeleteI go to my ex's every day to watch the kids and I typically clean it for him but since I knew I was taking them to NY I decided to let it slip into a horrid mess. I figure it'll give him something to do while the kids are gone. I'm a total asshole.
ReplyDeleteBrandy@YDK~ Thanks, I was worried that it was way lame. I know, it's hard to keep up after kids, no matter how old they are.
ReplyDeleteblueviolet~ You are so right! I did get the kitchen clean, now I just have to tackle the dining room and my room.
Julie~ LMAO, if you're a total asshole, that makes me one too cuz as I read that I was thinking, "You go girl!"
